Super Salad

I had a super salad tonight - super luxurious, super delicious and in extra large portion!

Photobucket
It has the usual baby spinach, butterhead lettuce, celery, capsicum, cherry tomatoes, red wine vinaigrette dressing, with the addition of ...

... smoked mussels in BBQ sauce!

Photobucket

If that wasn't enough, I added extra 麻辣 white tuna (from TC Boy brand). :P

Photobucket
The mussels tasted sweet and creamy with a slight chewy texture at the end. The tuna was more sweet than hot...actually it wasn't hot at all to me. I've packed it in the plastic container (with a cover) so that I could take it to eat with Spud while cat-sitting at the same time.

Food Presents

From the Spuddies this week - Buns, focaccia bread and chicken curry

Photobucket
Yet to try them...they're now sitting in the fridge.

Sometime in April, we also received some sweet cinnamon rolls from them...

Photobucket

...which we had for breakfast with some other items which I had already bought from the bakeries.

Photobucket

My favourite...

We also got some nice light, cream-filled biscuits from Tokyo, courtesy of KSN.

Photobucket
The packaging is so pretty, and even the cream filling comes in a sort of artistic pattern. I have a photo of that in my hp, which I will upload later.

Update 27 May 2008 - photo of Japanese biscuits:

Gift of Life

To raise funds for the China Sichuan's quake victims, BreadTalk (local bakery chain) came up with these sad-looking panda buns for sale. Each costs $2 and it seems all proceeds will be donated to the cause.

Photobucket

The bread tasted buttery and fragrant, and there is sweet red bean paste filling inside.

Photobucket
Nice to eat. Eat and help a cause at the same time... why not?

Another wonderful Jap product

Warning: This product is addictive!

By the standards of instant noodles, the Japanese ones always win!

Photobucket
Five packs costs $9, but it's ok because we're worth it! (to quote a lousy cliche :PP )

I think this one is char siew flavour or something.

Update on 25 May:

Photobucket
Served with baby spinach leaves, sweet onion and fish luncheon meat (black pepper flavour).
