I miss home-cooked food

I haven't been cooking for quite a long while, and when I look at photos of my past cooked dishes, I really missed eating them.

Photobucket
The dishes don't have to be very elaborate or special, and I miss the simple taste of home-cooked fresh vegetables without too much sauces and added condiment.

I mentioned this to the SO and he said he missed my home-cooked food too.

I shall try not to be lazy and cook something this week. One thing's for sure though - I believe it's harder to keep our weight down when we eat more home-cooked food... coz we tend to eat a lot more of it! :P

Warhol copycat

Saw a new brand of evaporated milk at the supermart! I know I am very aunty-ish for noticing such things, but I really enjoy grocery shopping. Kekeke! I find it relaxing.

There are many things I like about the packaging - the b/w cow against the pinkish-red & green background.

Photobucket
Is this art?

And this seems to be the most common and sometimes the only cheap luncheon meat available on the supermarket shelves nowadays

I haven't tried it, as I would prefer to check out more Maling. Anyway, I still have one can of ML after giving one to mom. I don't think she appreciates it or realise the significance of actually possessing a can of ML luncheon meat nowadays...haha!

Wanna-eats

I saw this photos on the net which makes me wanna go there and try the food. It was the bbq squid that did it, so I'll make a note to remind myself. Heheh!

Photobucket
From Riverside Indonesia BBQ ($38 platter for 2-3 pax)

The person who took the photos also highly recommend the seafood ramen at Sushi Tei. Apparently, the soup was so....so.... ??? that he could not describe it with any available superlative.

Not even "superb"?

Photobucket

He said we must go try the soup stock to understand what he means. Hmm...

There's now a brand new, posh-looking Sushi Tei outlet at TP...maybe can drop by to try during the weekend, or right after a gym session in the same building! Arrghh!

I've just started going back to the gym yesterday evening, after a >2 month long break. Gotta burn off the excess weight gain...by CNY?

>_<"
